Shiva Rindani Biography

Shiva Rindani is a well-known actor of Bollywood, known for playing character roles. He has excelled in the role of negative shades on big screen in the 1990s. He played funny negative shaded roles in many movies. He played a henchman in numerous Bollywood movies and shared screen space with two legends – Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth for 1991 blockbuster – Hum. The movie starred two funny villains, of whom Rindani was seen in the attacking mood always. His character name was Captain Zattack! His role in Sunny Deol starrer Ghatak: Lethal was also well appreciated. Roja and Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak are other noted appearances.

 

He started his career in 1981 with the comedy cult classic - Chashme Baddor. Still busy in the industry he has completed 35 long years in his acting career. After Deshdrohi in 2008 he took a break from films. He also acted in Midsummer Midnight Mumbai in the year 2014. Rindani is currently busy with television soaps, mostly playing character and supporting roles. Apart from playing plain henchman in many movies, he has also added a few humour elements into many of his roles. Quite active in the era of 1990s, Hum, Ghatak, Daraar, Deewana Mastana, Chandra Mukhi, Soldier, Roja, Aakrosh, Vijeta, Nazar ke samne, Main Khiladi Tu Anari, Jaan etc are among his noted appearances of the decade. Since 2000s, he appeared in less number of movies.

 

Shiva Rindani has appeared in more than 160 movies in the past 35 years. He is an experienced actor for television soaps also, who has acted in more than 3000 episodes of various television series, belonging to Hindi, Gujarati and Marathi languages. He is verse in English, Gujrati, Hindi, Marathi and Urdu languages. Got associated with Doordarshan series in the 1990s, he was featured in DD series such as Junoon, Ajnabee, Mulk, Aahat, Shh.. Koi Hain, Ghuttan, Ambar Dhara, Adalat , Jhansi Ki Rani etc. Saavdhan India, Devon ke Dev…Mahadev, Shree Ganesh, Aati Rahengi Baharein and Des Mein Nikla Hoga Chand are his noted TV soaps for satellite channels.
